Welcome To The Rambling Tarper

Hello, I’m Iain! I’m a proud father of two, balancing the worlds of an 18-year-old son and a 4-year-old daughter. I’m also an avid gamer and a dedicated bookworm. You’ll find that my view of the world is a bit unique: I don’t drive, and I navigate with the help of a walking stick due to a disability that makes walking difficult, though still somewhat possible. This gives me plenty of time to observe life at a slower, more thoughtful pace!

1 – What is a Tarper

The name “Tarper” comes from the brilliant and award-winning Toni and Ryan Podcast, hosted by Toni Lodge and Ryan Dunn. I am incredibly proud to be a Champion Tarper and Bridesmaid from their amazing community. While the inspiration for this blog comes from their show, The Rambling Tarper is a strictly personal, solo project. This site is not endorsed by, affiliated with, or linked in any way to the Toni and Ryan Podcast or their staff..

2 – What To Expect Here

This space is a collection of my random thoughts, gaming clips, book reviews, and everyday life experiences. While I may occasionally link to the podcast, this is entirely of my own doing as a fan. I do not make or accept any money from their company—I’m just here to share the fun!.

A wizard is never late, Frodo Baggins. Nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to.” — Gandalf

JRR Tolkein

You can expect a little bit of everything on this blog, including:

Personal photos, including some fun snapshots I’ve taken from Toni’s Hen Party!

Gaming moments and video highlights.

Bookworm musings and reading recommendations.

Daily life ramblings and observations from a non-driver navigating life with a preschooler, a young adult, and a walking stick.

So, grab a cuppa, pull up a tarp, and make yourself at home. I’m glad to have you along for the ride!
