The Joys of a 3 year old

The Joys of a 3 year old

Being an “older” parent again brings a lot of different challenges. Having a son who has just turned 18 meant we thought almost 4 years ago that we were done with going through Education.
Sadly, no, just as one finishes, Emilia heads to Reception class in September. Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t have it any other way. She fascinates me and drives me crazy in equal measures,

Any parent will tell you that dealing with girls is very, very different from dealing with boys. I don’t understand how clever she is already. I can have full conversations with her, even her preschool said last year they forgot she’s only 3 because she’s able to communicate what she wants.

Every Parent Says That

I know that a lot of parents say how their dearest Karen is going to grow up to run the country or take on the world. I don’t know if it’s just the world we are living in now, when your child is having fun playing, and she starts saying things like “hey guys, like comment and subscribe” surely we aren’t there already.

I wish I could share all the incredible and completely outrageous things Emilia does. She has several loves in her life: her mom, her brother, the cats, and the guinea pigs. I definitely make the list too—at least when I ask her directly. When she spreads her arms wide and says “This Much,” it reassures me that I hold a special place in her heart.

Pets

We do have another cat called Luna, however, at the time of typing, I don’t have a picture on any of my devices
