On Tuesday 5th March my beloved Arsenal booked their place in the Champions League Final. We haven’t been in the final for 20 years, where one referee’s decision changed the game. In the 18th minute, Arsenal’s Jens Lehmann rushed out and brought down Samuel Eto’o; he was shown a straight red card.
As time has gone on, much has been said about that Red Card. At the time, I thought it was disgraceful, and looking at it again now, there is contact. Given how the rules and technology have changed, there was no VAR, no second look, just the referee in that moment making a decision.
Referee Terje Hauge has admitted he may have acted too quickly in sending off Arsenal keeper Jens Lehmann during Barcelona’s Champions League Final with Arsenal

A day later, on Wednesday, March 6th PSG booked their place in the final. A 1-1 draw on the night saw them beat Bayern München 5-6 on aggregate.
Arsenal has been outstanding this season, remaining the only undefeated team in the Champions League. In contrast, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) struggled early with two league defeats but has since performed exceptionally well.
David Raya has been Mr Consistency this season. 9 clean sheets in the Champions League and 17 in the Premier League. He is arguably the best goalkeeper in the world right now.
Thank You For Visiting The Rambling Tarper
